Samsung Galaxy S24 Gets Power
Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 update along with the September 2024 security patch for unlocked Galaxy S24 series devices in the US. This update follows the initial launch of One UI 6.1.1 in select European markets. It’s the first major update for the Galaxy S24 series since the One UI 6.1.1 release.
The September 2024 security update addresses 1 critical and 43 high-level security vulnerabilities (CVEs), ensuring a more secure and stable experience for users. The update can be identified by the build version ending in AXHF and is being released gradually, with Verizon also joining the rollout in the US.

September 2024 Security Patch: This update is essential for Galaxy S24 users, as it resolves minor bugs and performance issues found in the recent major update. It also improves battery life and addresses overheating issues.
To install the update, go to Settings > Software Update, and tap on “Download and Install.” Once the update is available, your phone will download it, and you can restart your device to apply the changes.
One UI 7 Beta on Hold: The One UI 7 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series has not been announced yet. With the Samsung Developer Conference 2024 set for October 3, users are eagerly waiting for more information. In the meantime, Samsung has added several new Galaxy AI features from the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 to older devices with One UI 6.1.1, giving users a taste of what’s to come.
