WhatsApp Introduces Redesigned Chat List Interface in Latest Beta Update

WhatsApp has rolled out its latest beta update (version 2.24.25.8) through the Google Play Beta Program for Android users. This update brings a fresh design to improve how users manage chat lists and filters.

Enhanced Chat Filters for Easy Access

The update improves the visibility of chat filters like “Favorites” and “Unread” by placing them prominently at the top of the chat list. This new layout makes it easier for users to find and use these filters quickly.

WhatsApp has also added a shortcut for creating custom filters, simplifying personalization. Below these filters, there’s a redesigned button that lets users effortlessly create new chat lists.

Recover Deleted Filters Instantly

A new feature allows users to restore deleted filters such as “Groups” or “Unread” with just one tap. The restore option is available via a button next to the filters, adding convenience and flexibility to chat management.

A Cleaner and Smoother Layout

In the current stable version of WhatsApp, users can delete filters by long-pressing on them. However, the redesigned interface aims to make this process more intuitive while enhancing the overall user experience with a cleaner layout.

Availability

The redesigned chat list interface is currently available to a limited number of beta testers. WhatsApp plans to expand this feature to more users in the coming days as part of the stable app update. If you haven’t received the new interface yet, it should arrive on your device soon.

Stay tuned for the update to enjoy smoother chat list management and improved features!
