Apple Intelligence Now on iPhones
Apple has rolled out its much-anticipated Apple Intelligence, but it’s set to officially launch in India in 2025. However, there’s a way to access it now on eligible devices.
Apple Intelligence-Enabled Devices
The first product with built-in Apple Intelligence is the new iMac M4, though eligible iPhones, iPads, and Macs can also experience these AI features. Here’s how to get Apple Intelligence on your device:
- iPhones: Only models with A17 Pro, A18, or A18 Pro chips, like the iPhone 15 Pro series and iPhone 16 series, support Apple Intelligence. Update to iOS 18.1 to access features.
- iPads: Devices powered by Apple Silicon M1, M2, M4, or A17 Pro, including the new iPad mini, can use Apple Intelligence with the iPadOS 18.1 update.
- Macs: Macs with M-series chips, from the M1 MacBook Air to the latest MacBook Pros with M3, are eligible. Install macOS Sequoia 15.1 for access.
How to Enable Apple Intelligence
After updating to the latest software, go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and join the waiting list. Activation may take a few minutes to a few days.
Key Features of Apple Intelligence
Apple’s first AI suite includes an upgraded Siri with natural response, advanced writing tools for text improvements, and notification summaries. Additionally, the Photos app’s new Clean Up tool allows you to remove unwanted objects or backgrounds from images.
