Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Store will soon require users to log in with a Samsung Account to download apps. Currently, the store allows you to bypass this for 14 days, but starting September 25, 2024, a Samsung Account will be mandatory.
Samsung today published a new notice, displaying the requirement of a Samsung Account logged in to use the Galaxy Store. You won’t be able to use the Galaxy Store from September 25, 2024, without a Samsung Account logged in.
Samsung Galaxy Store latest update
Following the latest Galaxy Store update (version 6.6.13.10), Samsung confirmed that users must be logged into their Samsung Account to download and install apps. If you’re not logged in, the store will prompt you to do so before you can proceed.
Most Galaxy users log in with their Samsung Account during initial setup. If you haven’t, make sure to do so soon, or you’ll lose access to the Galaxy Store for app downloads.
